About this collection

International Sour Patch Kids Flavors

Sour Patch Kids are known for their sour-then-sweet flavor, but outside the US, the brand takes on a much wider range of flavors and variations that most shoppers haven’t seen before. The candy was originally created by Frank Galatolie of Jaret International in the early 1970s under the name Mars Men.

In 1985, the brand was renamed Sour Patch Kids, likely to capitalize on the popularity of Cabbage Patch Kids at the time. Around the world, the candy has also appeared under different names, including Very Bad Kids in France, Maynard's Sour Patch Kids in Canada, and Jelibon's Sour Patch Kids in Turkey.

This collection includes international Sour Patch varieties featuring flavors like cola, lemonade, tropical fruit, and other hard-to-find regional releases that are not typically available in US stores. If you're looking to try something beyond the standard lineup, this is a great place to explore new and unexpected variations of a familiar favorite.

Good to know

Frequently asked questions

Are all of these Sour Patch Kids international flavors?
Not all of these Sour Patch Kids are imported, but many of the flavors in this collection are versions you won’t typically find in a standard US store. We include a mix of domestic and international varieties, focusing on unique flavors, limited releases, and harder-to-find options that go beyond the usual lineup.
Why do Sour Patch Kids vary so much by country?
Sour Patch Kids are produced by different manufacturers around the world for their local markets, which leads to variations in flavor, texture, and ingredients. Each region develops products based on local tastes, so the same brand can feel noticeably different depending on where it was made.
Are the ingredients different in international Sour Patch Kids?
In many cases, yes. Some international versions use different ingredient standards, including fewer artificial colors or flavors, depending on local regulations and consumer preferences. These differences can also affect texture, giving some varieties a softer or more natural feel compared to typical US versions.
Are there limited-edition Sour Patch Kids flavors?
Yes, Sour Patch Kids regularly releases limited-edition and seasonal flavors that are only available for a short time or in specific regions. Some of these never make it to US stores, which is why collections like this often include flavors that are difficult to find once they sell out.
Are there different types of Sour Patch Kids candies?
Yes, Sour Patch Kids come in a range of formats beyond the classic shape, including extreme sour versions, filled varieties, and texture variations depending on the region. Some international releases also introduce unique shapes or formats that aren’t commonly available in the US.
