Everyone Should Be Able to Shop Galactic Snacks
Galactic Snacks wants everyone to be able to explore our products, discover something new, and shop our website.
We’re a small business, but our goal is straightforward: no one should be left out of the experience because our website created a barrier. We are committed to improving the accessibility and usability of BuySnacksOnline.com for people with disabilities.
Our Approach to Accessibility
Website accessibility is not a one-time certification or a box that stays checked forever. Website content, technology, accessibility standards, and third-party applications all change over time.
For private businesses, the Americans with Disabilities Act does not currently provide a single technical website checklist or certification that makes a site “officially compliant.” The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA provide a widely recognized technical framework for web accessibility.
We use WCAG 2.2 Level AA as a guide for our ongoing accessibility efforts. Our goal is to review and improve areas including:
- Keyboard navigation
- Focus visibility and page order
- Screen-reader compatibility
- Alternative text for meaningful images
- Color contrast and text readability
- Page headings, links, and buttons
- Forms, instructions, and error messages
- Browser zoom and responsive layouts
- Cart, navigation, and other interactive website features
As our website changes, we continue reviewing its content and features, addressing barriers we identify, and incorporating customer feedback.
If the Website Is Not Working for You, Please Tell Us
We cannot fix a barrier we do not know about.
If you have difficulty viewing, navigating, or using any part of our website, please contact us. We will make a good-faith effort to understand the problem, provide assistance when possible, and address issues within our control.
You can:
- Email Support@BuySnacksOnline.com with “Accessibility Support” in the subject line.
- Use our contact form.
If email is not the easiest way for you to receive assistance, tell us how you would prefer to communicate. We can arrange a phone call and walk through the website with you, help you find product information, and assist you in navigating the ordering process.
When possible, please include:
- The page or feature you were trying to use
- What you were trying to accomplish
- A description of the problem
- The device, browser, or assistive technology involved, if relevant
You do not need to provide personal medical information.
Please Give Us an Opportunity to Help
We genuinely want to resolve accessibility problems—not leave customers struggling with them.
If you believe any part of our website is inaccessible, we respectfully ask that you contact us and give us a reasonable opportunity to investigate and address the issue before filing a formal complaint or legal claim.
Once we know about a problem, we will respond in good faith, offer practical assistance or an accessible alternative when reasonably possible, and work to correct issues within our control as promptly as reasonably possible.
Third-Party Features
Some website functionality is provided by Shopify and other third-party applications or services. We do not control every part of those systems, but we still want to know when they create an accessibility barrier.
Please contact us even when a problem involves a third-party feature. We will try to assist you, identify an alternative when possible, and communicate the issue to the appropriate provider.
Ongoing Review
Accessibility is an ongoing responsibility. We continue reviewing the website, addressing reported issues, and considering customer feedback as the site evolves.
